DESCRIPTION:Join the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce as we host a reception for all those running for local offices in the upcoming election. \n\n \n\nCandidates will be available to speak with attendees face to face and answer questions. This is an informal event and will not follow a forum format. It has been designed to allow all attendees to have the opportunity to address the candidates directly. \n\n \n\nFebruary 13\, 2018 | 5:30 - 7:00 PM | Laura's Cheesecake\n\n \nThis election is unique due to the fact that several offices are being vacated and 20 candidates are running to fill the following nine positions: \n\n \n\n-District Judge\, 276th Judicial District (unopposed) \n\n-County Judge \n\n-District Clerk \n\n-County Clerk (unopposed) \n\n-County Treasurer (unopposed) \n\n-County Commissioner Pct.2 \n\n-County Commissioner Pct.4 \n\n-Justice of the Peace Pct.1 3 & 4 \n\n-Justice of the Peace Pct.2 \n \n\nEarly voting begins February 20th and will continue through March 2nd. Election Day is March 6th. \n \n\nCome and engage in our local electoral process! \n\nRSVP HERE!\n \n\nMPYP Members will earn 25 points by attending this event.
