Uncorked Food & Wine Festival- Wine Garden Entry

Wine tastings are one of the most popular and engaging activities, offering attendees a chance to explore a variety of wines in a fun and social setting. First wine tasting? Here's how it works!

1. Entry and Tasting Tickets

  • Upon entering the festival, attendees will receive their wine garden entry wristband that is available for purchase online or can also be purchased the day of the event. Must show ID upon arrival. This will allow all attendees to stop by the wine booths for tastings as they have been confirmed to be at legal drinking age.

2. Receiving a Tasting Glass & Wine Bag

  • Guests are provided with a commemorative tasting glass upon entry. This glass is used throughout the festival to sample different wines. Guests will also receive a wine bag to carry any purchased wine bottles.

3. Visiting Wine Vendors

  • The festival grounds are lined with booths or tents representing different wineries. Each winery offers a selection of wines, often including their signature varieties as well as limited editions or new releases. Attendees with purchased wristbands can visit these booths at their leisure and purchase their wine tastings that are around $1-$2 each. Each winery may be different. We recommend bringing cash!

4. Engaging with Winemakers

  • At each booth, winemakers or knowledgeable representatives are on hand to pour the wine and share insights. They might explain the characteristics of the wine, such as its flavor profile, the grape variety used, and the region where it was produced. This is a great opportunity to learn about the winemaking process, ask questions, and deepen your understanding of different wines.

5. Tasting Process

  • Guests are encouraged to follow the traditional steps of wine tasting:
    • Look: Observe the color and clarity of the wine in the glass.
    • Smell: Swirl the wine gently in the glass and inhale deeply to pick up on the aroma or "nose" of the wine.
    • Taste: Take a small sip and let the wine linger in your mouth to experience its flavors and texture. Pay attention to the wine's body, acidity, sweetness, tannins, and finish.
    • Reflect: Consider the overall experience of the wine, and if desired, share thoughts with friends or the winemaker.
